What quotes are welcome?
Quotetoo is a curated collection of original wisdom. We welcome:
- Original quotes — Words you wrote yourself
- Insightful observations — Wisdom, philosophy, life lessons
- Motivational thoughts — Inspiration that uplifts
- Creative expressions — Poetry, aphorisms, memorable phrases
- Professional insights — Lessons from your field of expertise
What's NOT allowed?
We maintain high standards. The following will be rejected:
- Plagiarized content — Quotes from other authors without permission
- Famous quotes — Already-known quotes from celebrities or historical figures
- Hateful content — Discrimination, harassment, or threats
- Spam or promotional — Advertising, links, or commercial content
- Low-quality content — Random text, incomplete thoughts, or filler
- AI-generated — Unless clearly disclosed as AI-assisted
Quality standards
Length
10–500 characters. Concise yet meaningful.
Originality
Must be your own words, not copied from others.
Clarity
Complete thoughts that stand alone.
Attribution
Use your real name or consistent pen name.
The Approval Process
How does moderation work?
All quotes are reviewed by a human admin before publication. Here's the process:

You submit a quote
Fill out the form with your quote, name, and email.

Verify your email
Click the link we send to confirm you own the email address.

Admin reviews your quote
We check for originality, quality, and compliance with guidelines.

Approved or rejected
If approved, you receive a notification email and your quote goes live!
How long does approval take?
Typically 24–48 hours, but may take longer during high-volume periods. You'll receive an email notification when your quote is approved.
Important: Submission does not guarantee approval.
Quotetoo is a curated platform. We reserve the right to reject any submission that doesn't meet our quality standards or guidelines.
Managing Your Quotes
How do I access my quotes?
We use magic link authentication — no passwords to remember!
- Go to /manage
- Enter the email you used to submit quotes
- Click the secure link we send you (valid for 1 hour)
- View and manage all quotes associated with that email
Can I delete my quotes?
Yes! You can delete any quote you've submitted through theManage Your Quotespage. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Can I edit my quotes?
No. Once approved, quotes are permanently inked — this is by design. Quotetoo is an archive of enduring wisdom. If you need to change a quote, delete it and submit a new one.
Can I change my username?
No. Usernames are permanent — they become part of your quote's URL and citation. Choose your username carefully before submitting.
Need to fix a typo? Delete your quote via Manage Your Quotes and resubmit.

Quotetoo positions quotes as literary monuments. When your quote is approved, it becomes part of a permanent archive — something that can be cited, shared, and referenced with confidence. This permanence gives your words credibility and weight.
Why curation over scale?
Not every quote makes it. That's the point. By maintaining high standards, we ensure that every approved quote is worth reading. Being featured on Quotetoo means something.
No ads. Ever.
Quotetoo will never display advertising. Your words deserve to be read without distraction or commercialization. This is a commitment we take seriously.
How does search work?
We use semantic search powered by AI. This means you can search by meaning, not just keywords. Search for "hope in hard times" and find quotes about resilience and perseverance, even if they don't contain those exact words.
Are my quotes public?
Yes. Approved quotes are:
- Publicly visible on Quotetoo
- Indexed by search engines (Google, Bing, etc.)
- Discoverable through internet searches
This is intentional — your words become part of the public record, discoverable by anyone seeking wisdom. Your email address is never shared publicly.
